A three-year starter after transferring from NCAA Division I Kent State, Madison Ridout Jones proved to be a two-way standout and one of Shawnee State’s most reliable leaders.
Ridout Jones averaged 13.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.4 steals per game on 48.8% shooting, helping the Bears go 91-13 over three seasons while sweeping the Mid-South Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships each year.
She earned Second-Team All-MSC honors in 2015-16, followed by back-to-back First-Team selections in 2016-17 and 2017-18. Ridout totaled 1,380 career points, including 510 as a senior when SSU held a No. 1 NAIA national ranking through the regular season. She also claimed the inaugural Randy Vernon MSC Defensive Player of the Year award as a junior.
By the end of her career, Ridout ranked inside the program’s top 20 in 12 different statistical categories, cementing her place as one of the most well-rounded players in program history.
