Travis Merry played basketball at Shawnee State from 1990 to 1994.

At the end of his collegiate career, he had earned 1117 points. He also held the school records for career assists (579) and career steals (177). On the seasonal front, Merry held the records for most assists (205 in 1993 – 1994) most assists in a single game (15). In 1994, he earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors
