A two-time NAIA Track All-American and 2016 NAIA Cross Country All-American, Shawnee State’s Anna Havranek Kirkpatrick became one of the program’s elite runners, finishing as NAIA National Runner-Up in the 10,000m in 2017.

That 2017 outdoor season saw Havranek win MSC titles in both the 5,000m and 10,000m, then place second (36:42.88) in the 10,000m and ninth (18:17.69) in the 5,000m at NAIA Nationals. She was a five-time MSC Champion, three-time NAIA National Qualifier in the 10,000m, and two-time qualifier in the 5,000m.

In cross country, Havranek earned First-Team All-MSC honors all four years, never placing worse than fifth at the conference meet. She was MSC Freshman of the Year (5th, 2014), finished 2nd, 1st, and 3rd the next three years, winning the 2016 MSC individual title and Runner of the Year honors. SSU won the MSC team title every year of her career.

Nationally, she placed 73rd (2014), 49th (2015), 28th (2016), and 79th (2017) at NAIA Nationals, earning All-American honors with her 28th-place finish in 2016.
