KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2026 NAIA Baseball All-Americans, with Shawnee State's Diego Mendoza earning third-team honors as a catcher.

Mendoza led Shawnee State in hits (74), home runs (13), RBI (66) and total bases (129).

The senior led the River States Conference with 66 RBI and ranked third with 13 home runs.

Despite ranking third on his team with a .366 batting average, Mendoza posted the fifth-highest mark among qualified hitters in the River States Conference.

Mendoza finished his career with 193 hits, the sixth-most in Shawnee State baseball history.

The Puerto Rico native is just one of four players in program history to record 30 or more career home runs.

Mendoza also ranks fourth in program history with 134 career RBI.
