MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- The River States Conference has selected Shawnee State's
Emily Moore as its Softball Player of the Week.
Moore joins
Gabby Adams as the two Shawnee State softball players to earn the weekly honor.
The sophomore from West Portsmouth reached base in all six of the Bears' games last week, recording eight hits in 17 at-bats with seven runs scored, 10 RBI, one double, one triple and two home runs.
Moore's best single-game performance came in the
Bears' 11-3 win over Midway on Saturday, when she went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and four RBI.
On the season, she has hit three home runs, four doubles and a triple, recorded 20 RBI and is slashing .447/.500/.818.
Shawnee State is back in action Friday, March 20, when it travels to EGGSL Field in Oakland City, Indiana for two games against Oakland City at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
