MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- The River States Conference has announced Shawnee State's
Gabby Adams as its Softball Player of the Week.
The Grove City native becomes the first Bear to earn the honor this season.
The selection follows a six-game stretch in which the senior went 12-for-22 with 10 runs scored and nine RBI.
Adams' best performance came in the
Bears' 14-0 win against IU Southeast, when she went 2-for-4 with a double, home run, four runs scored and five RBI.
Shawnee State returns to action Tuesday, March 10, when it hosts Cedarville for two games at Portsmouth High School at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
