FAIRMONT, W. Va. -- For the second time this season, Eduardo Peña has been named Mountain East Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

The sophomore earned his second shutout of the season in the Bears' 1-0 win over West Liberty on Sept. 27. The goalkeeper played a full 90 minutes, recording four saves.

Peña was also named MEC Defensive Player of the Week following his two-save shutout in Shawnee State's 6-0 win over Cincinnati-Clermont.

Shawnee State returns to action Sunday, Oct. 4, when it hosts Point Park at the Shawnee Turf in Portsmouth, Ohio. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
