PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- Shawnee State (2-5-2, 1-3-1) lost to No. 12 Davis & Elkins, 2-0, Wednesday night at the Shawnee Turf.
Floyd Watts made four saves in the first half before Davis & Elkins scored in the 27' to take a 1-0 lead.
Three minutes later, the Senators scored again to extend their lead to 2-0.
Shawnee State didn't record a shot in the second half, while Watts and
Eduardo Peña combined for five saves.
Davis & Elkins outshot Shawnee State 19(12) to 2(0), while securing the 2-0 win over the Bears.
Bears by the Numbers
Floyd Watts finished the night with eight saves. The junior leads the Mountain East Conference with 40 on the season.
