FAIRMONT, W. Va. -- The Mountain East Conference has named Eduardo Peña its Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

The honor comes after Peña recorded a complete-game shutout in the Bears' 6-0 win over Cincinnati-Clermont on Wednesday, Sept. 8.

The sophomore goalkeeper played a full 90 minutes in the contest, earning the first shutout of his collegiate career with two saves.

Shawnee State returns to action Wednesday, Sept. 16, at The Bridge Sports Complex in Bridgeport, West Virginia, against Salem. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
