PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- Shawnee State women's soccer has unveiled its 2026 schedule, featuring eight home matches and nine road contests.
Shawnee State will open its first season as an NCAA Division II member on Wednesday, Sept. 2, traveling to Crestview Hills, Kentucky, to take on Thomas More at Republic Bank Field. The Bears will then travel to Buckhannon, West Virginia, for their first Mountain East Conference match on Sunday, Sept. 6, taking on West Virginia Wesleyan at Culpepper Stadium.
Shawnee State's home opener is set for Wednesday, Sept. 9, when the Bears host West Virginia State in Portsmouth.
The following week, Shawnee State will travel to Athens, West Virginia, on Sunday, Sept. 13, to face Concord at Callaghan Stadium before visiting Glenville State on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at I.L. & Sue Morris Stadium. The Bears will then return to Portsmouth to host Charleston on Sunday, Sept. 20, and Davis & Elkins on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
The Bears will round out their September schedule with road matches against West Liberty at the West Family Athletic Complex on Sunday, Sept. 27, and Fairmont State at Duvall-Rosier Field on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
Shawnee State will open October at home on Sunday, Oct. 4, hosting Point Park before traveling to Bishop Schmitt Field to face Wheeling on Wednesday, Oct. 7. The Bears will then return to Portsmouth to host Frostburg State on Saturday, Oct. 10, and Glenville State on Wednesday, Oct. 14.
The Bears' final regular-season road trip will take place the following week, as Shawnee State travels to face Charleston on Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Welch Athletic Complex before visiting West Virginia State on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Dickerson Stadium.
Two home matches will round out Shawnee State's regular-season schedule, with the Bears hosting West Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday, Oct. 25, and Concord on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
The start date for the Mountain East Conference Women's Soccer Tournament remains to be announced.
