The women's soccer program at Shawnee State continued its traditional excellence in churning out quality NAIA Scholar-Athletes -- as
Joe McCauley's program had nine individuals obtain NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors Thursday morning in a press release that was put out by national officials.
Of Shawnee State's nine individuals that ultimately made the NAIA Scholar-Athlete list, a total of six of them hold cumulative GPAs at or above 3.8.
Whitney Dean, a sophomore who played a reserve role for the Shawnee State women's soccer program in 2025, made the list by posting a 3.98 GPA in sport management. Dean has passed over 50 hours of credit in her field of study.
Right behind Dean, Shawnee State's
Olivia Blankenship tallied up a 3.97 GPA as a physical therapy assistant. Blankenship has passed over 65 hours of academic credit and is of a junior academic standing as a result.
Three additional players all finished with GPAs above 3.85 as Scioto County natives
Elizabeth Brown,
Lucie Ashkettle and
Annie Coriell all finished well above the 3.5 cumulative GPA threshold. Brown, who has a 3.89 in chemistry, has passed over 75 hours of academic credit while Ashkettle (accounting) and Coriell (nursing) each have 3.87s, having passed over 100 and over 75 hours of academic credit in the classroom, respectively.
Drinkwater, who has accumulated over 90 hours of academic credit, holds a 3.8 GPA as an exercise science major as the last of the six individuals to hold at or above a 3.8.
Madison Culp,
Isabelle Riddle and
Brooklyn Hawes all hold GPAs between the 3.6 to 3.75 range -- as Culp, who has already earned two degrees and could obtain a third at Shawnee State, holds a 3.73 GPA while Riddle, who has a 3.65 GPA in dental hygiene, has obtained over 40 hours of academic credit.
Brooklyn Hawes, who has a 3.6 GPA in marketing, has obtained over 50 hours of academic credit to round out the list of honorees.
