Box Score CHILLICOTHE, Ohio -- Shawnee State (32-17, 16-11) earned a 7-2 win over Oakland City Saturday night, advancing to the River States Conference Tournament Championship and clinching an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament.
The Bears will now face IU Southeast at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
Oakland City opened the scoring with a run in the bottom of the first inning to go ahead 1-0.
Jace Parnin tied the game at 1-1 with an RBI triple down the right-field line in the fourth.
One batter later,
Larry Drake singled to left field to score Parnin and give the Bears a 2-1 lead.
The Mighty Oaks responded with a run in the fifth to tie the game at 2-2.

Larry Drake hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth to put the Bears ahead 4-2.
Jack Amis drew an RBI walk in the ninth to extend Shawnee State's lead to 5-2.
The next batter,
Jace Parnin, pushed the Bears' lead to 7-2 with a two-RBI single to right field.
Parnin retired the Mighty Oaks in order in the bottom of the inning as Shawnee State earned the 7-2 win, advancing to the RSC Tournament Championship and clinching an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament.
Trevor Ollier earned the win, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over seven innings while striking out six.
Jace Parnin was credited with his first save of the season, throwing two innings of one-hit, shutout baseball while striking out two.
Parnin went 2-for-5 with a triple and four RBI, while
Larry Drake finished 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Eli Jones went 2-for-3, and
Jack Amis batted 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
Mason Reid finished 1-for-4.
