MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- The River States Conference has selected
Byson Arthur as its Player of the Week.
Arthur, a Westerville, Ohio, native, is the first Shawnee State baseball player to earn conference honors this season.
The selection comes after the junior went 7-for-15 in four games against Point University over the weekend, including two doubles and a team-high four RBI.
The Bears claimed the weekend series from the Skyhawks, winning three of four.
Shawnee State returns to action Friday, Feb. 13, when it travels to TFC Baseball Field in Toccoa, Georgia to face Toccoa Falls. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
