SSU MXC has four All-RSC runners; Bears finish third at RSC Championship Meet

RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- The Lanoy triplets' running skills were on full display at the 2025 River States Conference Championship Meet -- as two of the three brothers, Isaiah and Trevor, earned First-Team All-RSC honors while Kaiden Lanoy collected Second-Team All-RSC accolades to lead the Shawnee State men's cross country program in the meet, which was held in Rio Grande Saturday.

Isaiah Lanoy, who ran a strong 25:09.01 in Saturday's race, scored a career-best second place finish in the race, finishing just eight seconds behind meet winner Tyler Jenkins with his runner up finish in the field. Trevor Lanoy added in a 25:57.70 to finish seventh, joining Isaiah on the First-Team All-RSC unit by claiming the seventh and final First-Team All-RSC position. Both runners were among eight individuals that ran under 26 minutes in the 8K race.

Behind the lead duo, Shawnee State junior runner Kaiden Lanoy added in a time of 26:17.50 to grab Second-Team All-RSC honors -- placing 13th overall -- while Shawnee State sophomore Connor Darnell completed a terrific comeback from a stress fracture in the femur to post Third-Team All-RSC accolades with a 16th-place finish, running a 26:27.97 to round out the honorees for SSU in the race.

"Isaiah had a great day," Shawnee State Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Conner Flynn said. "He challenged one of the best runners in the NAIA in Tyler Jenkins. Isaiah is looking ready at the right time for the national championships. Trevor, Kaiden, and Connor Darnell also all ran hard and battled well. I was happy with the day that they were able to put together in a deep field."

Jerry O'Dell, who finished 29th with a 27:25.24, Eli Lengl, who claimed 33rd, and Dakotah Sanders (46th), Walker Pannell (53rd) and Rowen Lloyd (59th) all finished inside the top half of the field, while Cody Hesler (86th), Garrett Carver (93rd) and Jared Flowers (95th) rounded out the Shawnee State performances in the meet.

The 2025 NAIA Men's and Women's Cross Country Selection Show will take place Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 5 p.m. ET/4 p.m. CT.
