RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- Following the conclusion of the River States Conference Championship meets Saturday, Shawnee State senior
Kirsten Evans and Shawnee State junior
Rowen Lloyd were each honored by conference officials as members of the RSC's Champions of Character Team, as announced by the conference.
Evans, who has been consistently reliable on and off of the course and track as a cross country and track and field athlete, helped Shawnee State claim a River States Conference Runner-Up finish for the third consecutive season Saturday and continues to be a star academically, posting an unblemished 4.0 GPA with over 100 credits earned in exercise science.
As for Lloyd, the current junior has been among the Shawnee State men's cross country program's most consistent producers in the classroom -- as Lloyd carries with him a 3.43 GPA in sociology. Lloyd has earned over 70 hours of academic credit to boot.
