RICHMOND, Ky. -- The Shawnee State men's and women's golf teams began spring competition over the weekend, with both teams placing in the top four of the Alice Lloyd College Spring Invitational.
MEN
Shawnee State shot 41 over par as a team, placing fourth in a 13-team field.
IU East, IU Southeast and Defiance finished ahead of the Bears, shooting 36, 33 and 2 over par, respectively.
Jason Price shot 9 over par, the lowest individual score for Shawnee State, and tied for 16th with Defiance's Brayden Allen.

WOMEN
The women's team shot 111 over par to lead the five-team field.
IU Southeast finished just behind Shawnee State at 115 over par.
Aly Wellman shot 13 over par, the second-lowest score in the 26-player field. Rio Grande's Maddi Meadows led all golfers at 6 over par.
Wellman's 75-stroke round Sunday is the lowest single-round score in Shawnee State women's golf history.
