RICHMOND, Ky. -- Aly Wellman set a Shawnee State women's golf single-round record Sunday, shooting 75 on the final day of the Alice Lloyd College Spring Invitational.

Wellman finished second in the 26-player field and shot the second-lowest single-round score of the weekend.

The junior surpassed the previous record of 76, held jointly by her teammate Sidnea Belville and Holley Hart.

The Shawnee State women's golf team returns to action Monday, March 30, when it hosts a tournament at the Portsmouth Elks in McDermott, Ohio.
