MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- The River States Conference announced its 2025-26 Men's Basketball All-Conference teams today, with six Shawnee State players earning recognition.
Jason Steele was selected to the first team, the only Bear to earn the nod. The 6-foot-6 junior from Flushing, New York, is averaging a team-high 11.3 points per game.
Earning second-team honors was
Tyreon Payne,
Kiante Williams and
El Sieger.
Payne is scoring 11 points per game and has earned two River States Conference Defensive Player of the Week awards and one River States Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Williams is averaging 9.4 points and five rebounds per game, and has blocked a team-high 18 shots this season.
Sieger leads Shawnee State in free-throw shooting percentage at 87% (minimum 10 attempts) and is averaging 11.2 points per game while shooting 40.3% from three-point range.
Jareon Mayo and
Ahmadou Aw were each selected to the conference's third team to round out the list.
Mayo's 10.9 points per game ranks fourth on the team, and he is one of four players to appear in all 29 games this season (
Kiante Williams,
Rheyce DeBoard,
Ahmadou Aw).
Ahmadou Aw averages eight points per game and has earned both River States Conference and NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week honors this season.
