Box Score MIDWAY, Ky. -- No. 24 Shawnee State (23-5, 15-1) lost its first River States Conference game of the season on Saturday, falling to Midway 95-84 at Marshall Gymnasium.
The first half was back-and-forth, with Midway holding a 42-41 lead over Shawnee State at halftime.
Ahmadou Aw led the Bears in scoring at the break with ten points, while Midway's Sam Parrish paced all scorers with 11.
The Eagles extended their lead in the second half, outscoring Shawnee State 53-43 to hand the Bears a 95-84 loss and end their perfect conference season.
Rheyce DeBoard led Shawnee State in scoring with 15 points, shooting 6-of-12 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc.
Ahmadou Aw and
Tony Webb, Jr. scored 10 points apiece, with Webb, Jr. snagging 11 rebounds to record his first double double of the season.
Tyreon Payne recorded nine points, while
Jareon Mayo finished with eight.
Trevino Glover poured in seven points, with the trio of
Kiante Williams,
Jaiden Guice and
El Sieger posting six points apiece.
Damon Charles scored five points and corralled four rebounds.
