The men's soccer program at Shawnee State used a well-balanced offensive attack and a stout defensive effort throughout much of its matches in the River States Conference to place five individuals on the All-RSC squad, as announced by River States Conference officials Thursday afternoon.
Shawnee State sophomore goalkeeper Toby Forsythe, Shawnee State senior captain and defender Belo Bitencourt, and Shawnee State senior forward Alfie Maynard each earned Second-Team All-RSC accolades in 2025, while Sei Aitoku and Marco Riva each collected Third-Team All-RSC honors.

Forsythe, who is in his first season with SSU after transferring from NCAA Division II Ashland, officially set the men's soccer program's single-season record for goals against average in 2025. Forsythe ultimately stopped 64 shots while allowing only 22 goals in 17 matches, posting a 1.38 goals against average in 2025 as a result. The new single-season record mark by Forsythe also joins Shawnee State's Thomas Carbonari, who nabbed a 1.49 mark in 2012, as the only campaigns in single-season program history where the starting keeper posted a single-season GAA below 1.5.

Bitencourt, who joined Forsythe as one of only three Shawnee State players to play in and start all 17 contests in 2025, notched a career high with three goals during the regular season. A standout defender throughout his four-year career and a player who has essentially started in each of his last four seasons in a SSU uniform, Bitencourt has played and started in all but two games over his last three seasons with the Bears.

Maynard, a dynamite scorer who posted 16 goals and seven assists over his four-year college career between Shawnee State and Blue Mountain Christian (Miss.), finished his career with 39 total points as a result. Maynard tallied two goals and three assists in his final season with the Bears in 2025.
