POWELL, Ohio -- The Shawnee State men's cross country running duo of Rowen Lloyd and Jared Flowers each took part in the annual Ohio Wesleyan Invitational Friday evening, with Lloyd and Flowers finishing 136th and 181st, respectively in a 207-runner field at Liberty Park in Powell, Ohio Friday evening.

Lloyd ultimately ran a 29:30.9 in the event, while Flowers posted a 32:03.7 in the eight kilometer race. Lloyd beat out 71 runners in the field with his performance.

The men's cross country program at Shawnee State races Saturday morning in the prestigious Live in Lou XC Classic, which will be held at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky.
