- Pursuing a degree in business accounting, he chose Shawnee State because it offered the degree he was interested in and the opportunities being built on the ball field. He has achieved multiple Dean's List honors and won a JUCO Gold Glove award.
- Growing up in Kamloops, his parent is Cheryl Austin.
- Attending Westsyde Secondary School, he graduated with math honors and was selected for the PBL All-Star Game.
- His role model is his brother, and he has the unique talent of being able to wiggle his ears.
- His favorite hobby is golf, and he enjoys watching the show "Yellowstone" and the movie "Lone Survivor."
