COLUMBUS, OHIO -- Shawnee State (0-2-1, 0-0) earned its first point of the season with a 2-2 draw against Ohio Dominican at Panther Stadium on Wednesday.
Yuri Neeve put his team-leading seventh shot off the right post just 36 seconds into the match.
Théo Cavaleiro Trindade scored Shawnee State's first goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 21', giving the Bears a 1-0 lead over Ohio Dominican.
The Panthers tied the match at 1-1 with a goal in the 27'.
Both squads went scoreless for the remainder of the first half, sending the teams into the break tied at 1-1.
Julian Bustos put the Bears ahead 2-1 with a goal in the 66'. Trindade picked up an assist on the play for his third point of the night.
Ohio Dominican quickly answered with a goal in the 69' to tie the match at 2-2.
Shawnee State did not record a shot on goal over the final 21 minutes of regulation, while
Floyd Watts and Eduardo Peña combined for three saves to keep the match tied at 2-2.
The Bears and Panthers remained tied after 90 minutes, with Shawnee State moving to 0-2-1 on the season.

Théo Cavaleiro Trindade led Shawnee State with three points in the match, recording his first goal and assist of the season.
Julian Bustos found the back of the net for the first time this season, briefly putting the Bears ahead 2-1 in the 66th minute. The junior played all 90 minutes for the third consecutive match to begin the 2026 campaign.
Floyd Watts posted a season-high seven saves and allowed two goals over 71 minutes for Shawnee State.
Eduardo Peña, who entered the match in the 71', recorded his fifth save of the season.
