ATHENS, W. Va. -- Shawnee State (0-3-1, 0-2-1) lost to Concord, 6-0, at Callaghan Stadium on Sunday.
The Mountain Lions jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half of Sunday's Mountain East Conference matchup, scoring in the 8' and 22', respectively.
Harlee Brand faced nine shots on goal over the first 45 minutes, recording seven saves.
The Bears did not record a shot in the first half.
Concord quickly extended its advantage in the second half, scoring in the 46' and 48' to take a 4-0 lead.
The Mountain Lions pushed their lead to 6-0 with goals in the 50' and 60'.
Brooklyn Hawes replaced Brand in goal for the Bears in the 53', allowing one goal and recording five saves over the final 37 minutes.
Lucie Ashkettle recorded Shawnee State's lone shot on goal in the 84', but it was saved by Concord goalkeeper Kayla Garza.
Bears by the Numbers
Harlee Brand finished with seven saves while allowing five goals. The junior co-leads the Mountain East Conference with 37 saves on the season.
Brooklyn Hawes saw her first playing time since the team's season opener at Thomas More, recording a season-high five saves.
Lucie Ashkettle recorded the Bears' only shot on goal of the match, marking the third time in four games she has put a shot on target to begin the season.
Shawnee State has gone scoreless through its first four matches of the season, tying the program's longest scoring drought since 2018.
