MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- For the second time this season,
Gabby Adams has been named River States Conference Softball Player of the Week.
The selection comes after Adams slashed .550/.565/.700Â in six games last week, with a home run and eight RBI.
Adams' best single-game performance came in the Bears' series finale with Kentucky Christian where the junior went 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBI.
This is the second time Adams has received the weekly honor this season, as
the Grove City native was named conference player of the week on Monday, March 9, following a 12-for-22 week with four doubles, one home run and nine RBI.
Shawnee State softball returns to action Thursday, April 2, when it hosts Brescia for two games at Doc Singleton Park in West Portsmouth, Ohio, at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
