RALEIGH, N.C. --
Isaiah Lanoy,
Luke Rader,
Eli Adkins and
Chayse Lipscomb represented Shawnee State at the Raleigh Relays, with Lanoy setting a program record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and hitting the NAIA A Standard.
Lanoy's performance broke a nine-year record at Shawnee State, previously held by Adrian Ross at 9:08.39. It also ranks as the 12th-fastest 3,000-meter steeplechase in NAIA history.
He also met the NAIA A Standard time, automatically qualifying him for national competition this postseason.
The junior hit the NAIA B Standard in the 3,000-meter steeplechase last week, running 9:17.16 at the Charlotte 49er Classic.
Lanoy is nationally ranked No. 1 in the NAIA 3,000-meter steeplechase and is the reigning River States Conference men's outdoor track Athlete of the Week.
Chayse Lipscomb made his debut in the 400-meter hurdles, winning his heat and moving into the NAIA top 10.
