OXFORD, Ohio -- Behind a 10-save effort where Shawnee State sophomore goalkeeper Harlee Brand didn't allow a goal in a 4-0 win for the Shawnee State women's soccer program over Indiana-Columbus, the Winchester, Ohio native was named as the River States Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by conference officials Monday afternoon.

Brand accumulated 10 saves -- the third-most of her career and her most in a shutout performance -- in a 4-0 victory over Indiana-Columbus in the River States Conference opener for Shawnee State.

Brand made eight saves in the opening half alone, helping keep IUC at bay as Shawnee State took a 2-0 halftime lead.

For the 2025 season, Brand has made 59 saves in all in Shawnee State's first nine matches of the season.
