The men's and women's bowling programs at Shawnee State have released their schedules for the 2025-26 academic year, with the women competing in 14 events and the men 15 over the course of the academic year.
Along with continuing to play in the Ohio Bowling Conference, the bowling programs at Shawnee State have rejoined the Mid-South Conference for what will be its final campaign in the NAIA in 2025-26.Â
Both programs will begin their seasons by competing in the DO Apparel-Brunswick Collegiate Open on Saturday, Sept. 20 at HP Lanes in Columbus, and after a month away from action, the men's and women's bowling programs return to action five times over the next six weeks, including:
- Saturday, Oct. 18 -- Ohio Bowling Conference Event No. 1, Columbus, Ohio | Columbus Bowling Palace
- Saturday, Oct. 25 -- PBA Greater Nashville Open, Smryna, Tenn. | Smyrna Bowling Center
- Sunday, Oct. 26 -- Brandon Burns Classic, Smryna, Tenn. | Smyrna Bowling Center
- Saturday, Nov. 8 -- Day 1, Raider Classic, Beavercreek, Ohio | Beaver-Vu Lanes
- Sunday, Nov. 9 -- Day 2, Raider Classic, Beavercreek, Ohio | Beaver-Vu Lanes
- Saturday, Nov. 15 -- Ohio Bowling Conference Event No. 2, Columbus, Ohio | Columbus Bowling Palace
- Saturday, Nov. 22 -- Day 1, Bulldog Bash, Richmond, Ky. | Galaxy Bowling and Entertainment Center
- Sunday, Nov. 23 -- Day 2, Bulldog Bash, Richmond, Ky. | Galaxy Bowling and Entertainment Center
After taking off for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday, the Bears return to action in January over two of the next three weeks, with stops at the Greater Pittsburgh Collegiate Classic (Saturday, Jan. 10), the Western Pennsylvania Baker Shootout (Sunday, Jan. 11), the Ohio Bowling Conference's third event (Thursday, Jan. 22), the Lynne Jordan Memorial Classic (Saturday, Jan. 24) and the Thomas N. Burris Memorial Classic (Sunday, Jan. 25) all occurring over the first month of the 2026 portion of the schedule.
Shawnee State then wraps up the regular portion of its schedule with the three-day Mid-South Conference Championship from Thursday, Feb. 5 through Saturday, Feb. 7, the fourth and final event of the Ohio Bowling Conference's schedule on Saturday, Feb. 7, and -- for the men -- the two-day Hoosier Classic on Saturday, Feb. 14 and Sunday, Feb. 15. The Mid-South Conference Championships will be held at Southern Lanes in Bowling Green, Ky., while the fourth OBC event will take place at the Columbus Bowling Palace. The annual Hoosier Classic, meanwhile, will take place at Western Bowl in Indianapolis, Ind.
