Harman, Ilea named Third-Team All-RSC recipients

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Shawnee State senior women's tennis players McKenzie Harman and Antonia Ilea have easily been two of the most improved players in the River States Conference this season.

On Wednesday, both were rewarded for their improvement -- as the duo were each named as Third-Team All-RSC honorees Wednesday afternoon by River States Conference officials.

Ilea and Harman, who have been the primary doubles unit throughout much of the season -- and the entire spring -- won a doubles match against Spring Arbor's No. 1 doubles unit back on March 7, with Ilea also claiming another doubles win alongside Brooklyn Foose during the fall semester.

In the spring semester alone, Ilea has also claimed three singles victories -- having defeated Indiana-East's Brooke Schafstall (4-6, 6-4, 6-4), Spring Arbor's Madelyn Dell (6-2, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4) and Indiana-Southeast's Maci Vaughn (6-1, 7-5) in competition.

Along with earning Third-Team All-RSC honors herself, Harman was also named a NAIA Scholar-Athlete as well -- joining men's tennis talent Daniel Cristobal as the two individuals to accomplish that feat.
