KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Shawnee State's men's basketball team earned national recognition in the latest NAIA National Coaches' Top 25 Poll, receiving 10 points in the Dec. 17 release.

The Bears have gone 5-0 since the last poll was released on Nov. 26 -- including an 84-76 win over then-No. 13 Georgetown College. Georgetown dropped to No. 16 in Wednesday's poll.

Over the course of Shawnee State's current seven-game win streak -- stretching back to the Bears' 142-43 win over The Crown College on Nov. 21, they've outscored opponents by an average of 25.1 points-per-game.

The next NAIA National Coaches' Top 25 Poll releases on Wednesday, Jan. 14.
