PORTSMOUTH, Ohio – For the second time during the 2025-26 men's swimming season, freshman Robert Gibson has been named Mid-South Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week.

In Thursday's joint-meet with the University of Pikeville, Gibson notched a pair of first-place finishes in both the men's 200 and 400 yard freestyle events with times of 1:53.84 and 4:11.64, respectively.

Gibson's efforts helped the men's team secure a 108-58 win over Pikeville, along with a combined 144-132 final to collectively win the meet.

Shawnee State men's swim team returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 17 at Falling Springs Center in Versailles, Kentucky against Midway University. Start time set for 1 p.m.
