VERSAILLES, Ky. -- The Shawnee State men's and women's swimming teams competed in a tri-meet with Midway and Indiana Wesleyan over the weekend, with the men placing second and the women finishing third. The Bears' teams combined for seven first-place individual winners on the afternoon, along with two relay wins.
MEN'S
The men's swimming team bested Midway 150-80, but narrowly lost to Indiana Wesleyan 124-122.
Individually, Shawnee State claimed six first-place finishes, while also winning both relay events.
Robert Gibson finished first in both the 200 yard and 500 yard freestyle events. Other swimmers to earn individual first-place honors were

WOMEN'S
The women's swimming team fell to Midway 129-105, and also lost to Indiana Wesleyan 178-65.
Abigail Bosler claimed the sole individual first-place finish for the Bears on the afternoon, winning the 50 yard freestyle at 25.72. Bosler also finished second in the 200 yard breaststroke witha 2:36.48.
