BEAVERCREEK, Ohio -- Behind placing four individuals inside the top-35 overall and strong Baker play, the women's bowling program at Shawnee State enjoyed another collectively strong performance as a group as the Bears placed fifth out of 15 teams in the two-day Raider Classic, which was held at Beaver-Vu Lanes in Beavercreek, Ohio Saturday and Sunday.

Shawnee State, who knocked down 6,251 pins in finishing fifth over the course of the two-day event, got impressive efforts from its entire group. Freshman bowler Kaylee Randolph led the way for the Bears, bowling a four-game 728 to lead the Bears en route to placing 19th in the field of 117 bowlers. Randolph, who nabbed a four-game average of 182, bowled a 214 in Game 2 and followed that mark up with a 199 in Game 4 to round out the total.

Behind Randolph, Shawnee State bowlers Maria Mara, Onesti Evans and Morgan Higgins finished 30th, 31st and 32nd respectively as the trio knocked down 692, 691 and 690 pins in their own four-game runs -- averaging 173, 172.75 and 172.5 pins per game. McKenna Roades also contributed to the overall total in a major way by posting the second-highest two-game average in the tournament, placing 92nd by posting a two-game average of 181 -- including a 203 game.

Across the 16 Baker games, Shawnee State posted not only the highest Baker score in Game 3 among all teams (259), but posted the highest Baker score among all teams across each of the 16 Bakers with that score. 

Overall, Shawnee State outbowled Huntington (Ind.), Union Commonwealth (Ky.), Cleary (Mich.), Ohio State, Wittenberg, Thomas More (Ky.), Tiffin, Ohio Northern, Kent State-Tuscarawas and Defiance.
