SYLVANIA, Ohio — The men's basketball program at Shawnee State got a double-double from
Daniel Rosenber and double-figure scoring efforts from
El Sieger and
Ahmadou Aw off of the bench, but the Bears dropped an 81-67 decision to the Lourdes Gray Wolves' basketball program Saturday afternoon in a nonconference contest that was held in Sylvania, Ohio.
Shawnee State, who was able to outscore Lourdes by a 43-42 margin in the second half, got eight points and six rebounds from Rosenber in the second half -- with the senior finishing with 13 rebounds, 12 points and a steal on 5-of-9 shooting from the field.
Aw, who scored all 11 of his points in the second half, went 4-of-6 from the floor over the final 20 minutes of action, while Sieger went 8-of-10 from the free throw line en route to his 16 points.
Shawnee State did get 42 bench points to Lourdes' 31 and nearly doubled up the Gray Wolves in second-chance points as the Bears collected 15 tallies to Lourdes' eight.
(RV) Shawnee State (2-3) will be back in action Friday evening at 6 p.m. at Waller Gymnasium as the Bears will take on The Crown College (Tenn.) in a nonconference matchup.
