Thursday night, the SSU men's soccer team faced the Trailblazers from Ohio Christian University. The Bears dominated the game, scoring five goals.

It did not take long for Shawnee to score the first goal when Joao Toledo put it in the back of the net in the fifth minute. Clement Akanyah scored the second goal for the Bears when he found the ball from a corner kick and placed it in the top right corner of the net. The Trailblazers would concede an own goal off of a corner from Toldeo, putting the score 3-0 in the Bear's favor. The rest of the half was made up of the back-and-forth battle between the rival schools, but SSU found themselves leading at halftime 3-0. 

The second half started and the Bears controlled the game and played 30 minutes until Abasi Saidi met the ball and headed it into the back of the net. Nikos Pontikis found the last goal of the game after Trevor Aveiro Masanjala passed the ball to him and he blasted it through the back of the net. The Bears finished the game with five goals on 24 shots. 

The SSU men's soccer team will be back in action Saturday to face the Jaguars from IUPUC in Indiana, the game starts at 4:30 PM.
