Portsmouth, Ohio - Shawnee State softball hosted their spring prospect camp on Saturday, February 18th, hosting a large number of area student-athletes.
With a turnout of nearly 70 players, the Shawnee State prospect camp was the largest since Steve Whittaker took over the program in 2015-16. Due to excellent weather conditions, all student-athletes were able to work out on Shawnee Turf, while 20 pitchers and 11 catchers were able to work out in Waller Gymnasium.
Shawnee State softball would like to thank West Virginia Outlaws 02 and Stingrays Maddix for bringing their teams to the camp.
Several awards were given out over the course of the camp, which included the following:
Fastest Camper : Lexi Maddix with a 2.8 home to 1B
Faster Pitcher : Brianna Mccowan at 63 MPH
Strongest arm OF : Aurora Slusher
Most Motivated : Boo Sturgill
Quickest Pop Time : Arica Flaugher
Best Swing : Katie Osborne
