Box Score OWENSBORO, Ky. -- Shawnee State (20-4, 12-0) remained perfect in River States Conference play on Saturday, defeating Brescia for its 20th win of the season.
The Bears didn't waste any time on Saturday, as they led the Bearcats 44-27 at the break.
Kiante Williams led all scorers with 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting (2-of-3 from three-point range), while grabbing five rebounds and collecting two steals.
El Sieger also finished in double figures in the first half with 11 points.
Shawnee State continued to pair suffocating defense with efficient offense, as it outscored Brescia 55-35 in the second half to cement the 99-62 conference win.
Trevino Glover scored 13 points in the second half to lead all scorers, while
Ahmadou Aw added eight points and three steals.
The Bears holding the Bearcats to 62 points marked the fewest points Brescia has scored in a single game since its
90-52 loss to No. 6 Cumberlands on Nov. 14.
Kiante Williams led all scorers on the afternoon with 18 points, shooting 7-of-9 from the field, 2-of-3 from beyond the arc and 2-of-2 at the free throw line.
El Sieger finished with 15 points, while
Trevino Glover's 13 second-half points set a new season high for the senior.
Tyreon Payne also finished in double figures with 11 points, with the duo of
Jason Steele and
Ahmadou Aw scoring nine points apiece.
Rheyce DeBoard scored seven points, and
Cameron Gibson added five.
