Box Score PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- In its final home regular-season game, Shawnee State (20-7, 11-3) secured a wire-to-wire 85-64 victory over Kentucky Christian.
The Bears led the Knights 9-8 midway through the first quarter before closing the period on a 14-9 run to take a 23-17 lead after one.
Shawnee State extended its first-half lead in the second quarter by outscoring Kentucky Christian 18-10 to take a 41-27 advantage into halftime.
Ra'Khyia Prince scored a game-high 14 points in the first half, with
Laken Williams adding seven.
The Bears continued to pull away in the second half, outscoring the Knights 44-37 across the third and fourth quarters to secure the 85-64 victory.
Ra'Khyia Prince led all scorers with 20 points, shooting 6-of-11 from the field, 6-for-10 from three-point range and 2-of-4 from the free-throw line.
Laken Williams scored in double figures for the eighth time in the last nine games, finishing with 15 points and seven assists.
Miyoshi Ellis recorded nine points and seven rebounds, while
Kyla Torok tallied six points.
Emily Maynard and
Jaden Tucker posted five points apiece.
