ASHLAND, Ohio -- Chayse Lipscomb rewrote Shawnee State's men's indoor track 200-meter record at the Jud Logan Light Giver Open in Ashland, Ohio, clocking 22.83 seconds.

Lipscomb surpassed Faheem Gilbert's 2020 mark of 23.16 to establish the new program record.

Gilbert's 22.36 remains the Shawnee State outdoor record in the 200 meters.

Lipscomb achieved the NAIA B-standard in the 60-meter hurdles (8.09) the last time he competed at the Niss Athletic Center, doing so at the Ashland Invitational on Jan. 24.

The Shawnee State men's indoor track and field teams return to action Friday, Feb. 13, for day one of the GVSU Big Meet at Kelly Family Sports Center in Allendale, Michigan.
