Box Score PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- Shawnee State (17-5, 8-2) picked up its second consecutive conference win Saturday, beating Indiana University Kokomo 70-35.
The Bears set the tone for the afternoon early as they outscored the Cougars 30-13 in the first half.
Jonilyah Chambers led Shawnee State in first-half scoring with eight points, while
Ra'Khyia Prince added seven.
The Bears extended their lead in the third quarter by outpacing IU Kokomo 25-9 in the frame.
Eight different players scored for Shawnee State in the third, with
Ra'Khyia Prince leading all with five points.
The fourth quarter proved to be the most competitive of the afternoon, however, Shawnee State still outscored IU Kokomo 15-13 to cement the 70-35 conference victory.
Ra'Khyia Prince led the Bears with 12 points, marking her second-highest scoring output of the season.
Laken Williams finished with 11 points and nine rebounds, while
Jonilyah Chambers scored 10.
TK Catchings posted her first double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds while also blocking three shots.
Miyoshi Ellis contributed eight points and eight rebounds, with
Kyla Torok chipping in six points on 3-of-4 shooting.
IU Kokomo's Mackenzie York led all scorers with 13 points.
