RICHMOND, Ind. -- The women's golf program at Shawnee State finished off its opening tournament of the 2025 season with a consistent performance, following up its opening day 362 with a second round 365 as a team to finish ninth in the Indiana-East Fall Invitational, which was held at Highland Lake Golf Course in Richmond, Ind. Saturday afternoon.

Cali Baird and Aly Wellman, who shot 88 and 89, respectively, in their opening rounds on Friday, matched their individual scorecards Saturday evening by posting an 88 and an 89 to close out the tournament. Baird posted three birdies and three pars on Saturday while Wellman added a birdie and five pars.

Baird finished in a tie for 41st overall while Wellman tied for 45th on the leaderboard.

Brynna Spencer's 55th place showing and Saylor Crace's and Olivia Lewis' 56th places rounded out the Day 2 efforts. Lewis, who birdied the 17th hole and posted pars on four additional greens, shot a second-day 92 to lead the trio.

Shawnee State returns to action in late September when the women's golf program heads to Stonecrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg, Ky. to play in the UPike Fall Invitational.
