PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- The volleyball program at Shawnee State got 17 kills on a .359 attack percentage from
Natalie Reida and got 22 additional kills from fellow true freshmen
Bree Hicks and
Katelynn Boerger, but the Bears dropped a five-set decision to the Indiana-East Red Wolves' volleyball program (25-17, 25-21, 21-25, 25-27, 12-15) Friday evening at Waller Gymnasium in a River States Conference match.

Reida, who posted five of those kills in the opening frame of action, then added five more kills in the second set -- including four spikes in the first 12 volleys -- to help Shawnee State win the second set as well.
In addition to Reida's performance throughout the match, Hicks finished with 12 kills and seven digs while
Katelynn Boerger added in 10 kills.
