PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- The women's swimming program at Shawnee State was again led by senior standout
Abigail Bosler and freshman sensation
Kaylee France, as the duo combined for three individual event victories while helping Shawnee State collect relay victories in two additional events in its split with Pikeville (W 134-39) and Midway (L 127-88) Saturday afternoon in a tri-match that was held at the Warsaw Aquatic Center on the Shawnee State University campus.
Bosler, who won two individual events on her own accord, swam a 26.26 converted time in the 50 yard freestyle to win the event by nearly eight-tenths of a second in converted time. The senior then won the 100 yard breaststroke event by over 11 seconds in a dominating display.
France, who won the 100 yard backstroke, display similar dominance, winning her race by over four seconds over the next-closest finisher.
Bosler and France then combined with
De-Nicha Lewis and
Mercedes Mwebeiha to win not only the 200 yard medley relay but the 200 yard freestyle relay as well -- winning the former event by nearly 4.5 seconds and the latter by over three-and-a-quarter seconds.

- Maria Sagyntay, second, 200 yard backstroke
- Emilie Wasnich, second, 400 yard freestyle
- Mercedes Mwebeiha, second, 100 yard breaststroke
- De-Nicha Lewis, second, 200 yard butterfly
- Emilie Wasnich, third, 200 yard freestyle
- Mercedes Mwebeiha, third, 50 yard freestyle
- De-Nicha Lewis, third, 100 yard backstroke
Shawnee State returns to action a week next Saturday when the Bears travel to Marion, Ind. to participate in a dual meet that Indiana Wesleyan University will be hosting. Meet time is set for 1 p.m. at De Voe Natatorium.
