In a pair of River States Conference matchups that were held in New Albany, Ind., the softball program at Shawnee State dropped 9-0 and 10-0 decisions to the Indiana-Southeast Grenadiers' softball program Saturday afternoon.
Shawnee State was led by Jenna Christopher who went 3-for-4 with a walk between both contests. Sierra Dunnagan and Lexie Lockwood each went 1-for-2 at the plate in Game 2, with Dunnagan notching a double in the fourth frame of action.
The Bears (21-5, 13-5 River States Conference) will look to rebound Sunday afternoon when Shawnee State takes on Midway (Ky.) in a pair of River States Conference contests. First pitch is set for Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
