The Bears traveled to Xenia Ohio to take on Wilberforce. The Bears would get on the right side of things winning both games on day one.
In game one, Jacob Gleason would throw a gem. Gleason would only allow one hit through the seven-inning game. Shawnee would score in the first five innings of the game while Gleason kept the Bulldogs quiet. Charles Douglas was on fire all game as he went 3-3 with a double and a home run to seal the win for the Bears. Tanner Lund also joined the scoring fun as he hit a 3-run homer in the top of the fifth. The Bears would win 12-0.

In the second game of the afternoon, Shawnee sent James Bodrock to the mound. Bodrock had a solid outing for SSU, but the Bears were behind after five innings. After the fifth inning, the SSU bullpen did not allow a single run for the remaining four innings of baseball. Shawnee's offense scored two runs in the first frame but struggled to find a hit through the afternoon, that was until the top half of the ninth inning. In the ninth, the Bears would send eight batters to the plate after using two of their three outs in the inning, scoring seven runs in the inning. Paul Kindervater came in and closed out the game for the Bears, as they would win 9-8, claiming their first series win on the season.
