Tuesday evening, the Shawnee State Bears traveled to Pippa Passes, Kentucky, to face off against the Eagles of Alice Llyod College. SSU made quick work of the Eagles as they swept the Bears in three sets.
The first set saw dominance from the Bears as they had Marleigh Albert at the service line 19 straight times. During that time, there were kills from Bethany Colling, Wylie Shipley, Haidyn Wamsley, and Regan Lewis. That concluded the first set as they won 25-8. The second set was a bit closer but was still in the Bear's favor as they won 25-19. The same group from the first set collected kills, but this time including Megan Steele and Kylee Barney. The third set was another dominant set from the Bears as they completed the sweep with a 25-14 set victory. Of the Bear's 45 total kills, 40 of them came from Lewis and Albert.
