The Shawnee State Women's soccer team played the Golden Bears from WVU Tech Thursday afternoon, in a match where the SSU Bears came out victorious with a score of 3-0.

Starting the first half, Shawnee took control of the game and had two shots on goal saved by Sascha Pacheco keeper for WVU Tech. The first goal of the game came when the Bear's Brianna Brudy, dribbled into the box and put the ball in the back of the net. Brudy scored the second goal for the Bears in the 29th minute. The Bears had four more shots on goal, but the first half finished with a score of 2-0 in favor of the Bears.

The second half started with an early shot from the Bear's Sophia Martinez, but this one hit the post. In the 62nd minute, the Bears found the third goal from a corner kick from Hannah Sponsel as she put the ball in the small area where Frederika Ntumba hit it into the back of the net. The SSU Bears had 15 shots on goal during the game, while the Golden Bears had only two shots. The game would end 3-0 for the Bears.

The SSU Women's soccer team will travel to Indiana, to face ST. Mary Woods on Saturday. The game will start at 1 p.m.
