The second game was another clean win for the unit, this time in 3 – 1 fashion. DeBruyne nabbed the first goal and the final one, totaling two, while Fiscus earned one of his own. Ellis played the supporting role in this game and earned two assists. Both Fiscus and Ellis were credited with one save each, to lead the Bears board.
The momentum stopped for the varsity squad in game three, which ended in a 3 – 4 overtime loss. Ellis sunk two early goals to gain the lead, with Fiscus and DeBruyne earning one assist each from the effort. DeBruyne claimed a goal of his own to gain a lead thanks to an assist from Ellis, but the gap was closed to create the overtime situation. Despite their best efforts, and an impressive double demolish from DeBruyne, the squad couldn't secure the final point to take the match in sweep.
The Bears didn't let the game loss stop them from an exciting 5 – 3 final game. Ellis scored a quick opening goal to set the pace. After falling behind, the squad collectively scored four goals in a row before conceding the final point to the Phoenix. Ellis totaled three goals in the last round, while DeBruyne scored the other two. Fiscus played the supporting role, with one assist and one save to his name.
