Shawnee State University traveled to Georgetown, Kentucky, to take on Georgetown College on a windy chilled night. After the nine-inning fiasco, the Bears would come out victorious with a 4-1 victory.
The Bears sent their ace pitcher, Kyle Wisniewski to the bump for the first game of the series. Wisniewski, after allowing one run in the bottom of the first, would settle in and be the ace that SSU has come to know over his time here. The final stat line for Wisniewski would be, 8 IP, 4 hits, 6 Ks, and 1 ER. Offensively the Bears showed their abilities, starting off with a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning from Howie Rodriguez. Shawnee State not letting up, would go on and score two more runs over of remainder of the game, sealing the 4-1 victory.
The Bears will be back in action tomorrow afternoon as they finish up the series with the Tigers. The first pitch is scheduled for 12 PM
