The men's soccer program at Shawnee State got a 10th minute goal from Jack Sharman-Dodd, but couldn't claim victory as the Bears fell to (RV) West Virginia Tech by a 6-1 margin Monday evening in Beckley, W. Va.
Sharman-Dodd's 10th minute blast, which came off of a rebound, was the first of the England native's career in his 31st career game with Shawnee State.
From an overall standpoint, the Bears were outshot by a 14-5 margin, with West Virginia Tech placing 12 shots on goal to Shawnee State's three. In addition to Sharman-Dodd's blast, Bram Voskuilen, Thierry van den Bergh, Thomas de Graauw and Kevin de Lange posted the additional shot attempts with van den Bergh's and de Lange's being on target.
Shawnee State (3-4-1, 0-2 MSC) will host Thomas More (2-3-2, 0-2 MSC) Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m.
